We are thrilled with our new (old!) sofa – Julian made the process of ordering and reupholstering so easy, and the result is a beautiful piece of furniture that suits us perfectly. Communication was great throughout, and delivery was really smooth, even in lockdown. Looking forward to visiting the shop in person again soon. Highly recommend!

I recently purchased an Edwardian sideboard from Mr. Gonnerman and I’ve been very pleased with the experience. It is a beautiful antique, in excellent condition, and offered at a reasonable price. He also offered to give it a complimentary wax, and the delivery is free. There are other beautiful pieces in his shop, I suggest stopping by to have a look.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Gonnerman. I ordered a substantial but quite fragile vintage shelf unit for a client and she and I are both delighted with it. It is even nicer in reality than on the pictures and the condition surpassed my expectations. Julian was really helpful with information and very clear and reliable on how to order and pay and when to expect delivery. The delivery guy he uses was equally impressive, helpful and reliable. We recently purchased two beautiful rosewood bookcases from Julian. It was our first experience buying furniture overseas and we were nervous. However, it worked out so well, Julian fixed up any damage before they left his shop and they arrived in perfect condition. We are very happy with them and the whole experience was positive!
