I have been a member for 3 years at this gym, and i just want to say anyone that needs a gym in clapham i would highly recommend trying this one out. Staff are great and always willing to help, great facilities and lots of space

Having used several Fitness First branches in London I can confirm that this is the worst, by a mile. Dirty changing rooms, equipment all over the floor, staff at reception more concerned about being on the phone rather than greeting guests (what they are paid to do). But the worst part is when you try to leave the Fitness First, it's like trying to leave a cult. When I tried to cancel online, in light of the Covid and my concerns about this gym, I was presented with an absurd balance. When I reported to the receptionist he said \it must be an error\. Contacted the Manager with no response. Issued a complaint and no response. The worst gym with most unprofessional staff I've ever used.
Great team and always a good vibe in club. Great layout and space that caters to any training style. Love that it allows me to vary up my training from boxing to olympic lifting to weightlifting and functional training. Like their Clapham Junction club, they have almost 100 classes, sauna & steam too. There was a small leak upstairs but it's quite an old building so understandable... At least they get any issues resolved very swiftly so can't fault it! Definitely recommend it.
I was going to write a bad review based on a member of staff who completely changed her energy towards me and the proceeding little gossip mongers who have too much time on their hands but I would rather focus on the things I can change and it wouldn't be fair or moral to write a negative review based on a isolated incident. I have been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling for 11 years so this gym has a few pieces of kit I, particularly, find useful from kettlebells, an assault bike, battle ropes and four different punch bags. They also have freeweights and machines upstairs so there is something for everyone. The only thing I would suggest, if I had to find something, would be move the squat rack downstairs for more space. This would free up space upstairs as there is more plates than holders so sometimes you have nowhere to put the plates back upstairs. Sometimes you don't need to upgrade just move things around. Hats off to James the manager. He makes his self known to you from the start and any issues you have from gym membership to general enquires he will do his best to sort out. The customer facing part of the business are usually very friendly and quick to have a laugh and joke with you or discuss your training etc. So if your reading this and thinking about joining. Just do it!
Good place to train. Very good trainers.
