Daquise first threw open its doors in 1947, reopened after being gutted by fire in 2005 and if you haven’t visited it yet by all means do so. It’s hard to describe the particular mix of Polish food and drink, the Eastern European ambiance and hospitality in this slightly hidden corner of South Kensington. Perfect for lunch or dinner after the late night exhibition at V&A or Natural History Museum. Takeaway available too. Enjoy !

Went for dinner with a group of friends and there is a great atmosphere inside, very authentic food, perogi minded me of the ones I had Poland. We went with a polish friend who liked it so much that he ordered a takeway for lunch. Had the Veal Escalopes which was delicious. Next time we will need to go early as they ran out of cakes.
Superb atmosphere, best service that I've ever had. Waiter with bottle of good vodka in hand. Just perfect.
My first time trying Polish food, and rabbit meat and wild boar, but everything was so surprisingly good! Food was served from their small cooking pots to our plates right in front of us. Very good service too! Want to go again next time I visit London. (Average 30 per person without drink, just a little pricey as a lunch)
One of the oldest polish restaurants in London Very good food and service from this young cheeky lad. And a little drink on the house was nice gesture. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks
