I did my foundation course at AOFM back in 2015, after researching the best schools in the UK. My experience over the week I had there was one of the best weeks in my entire life. The school is very professional and diverse and there were students on my course from all parts of the world. Each day we had one of the top makeup houses in to enable us to try the products. Beauty lines such as Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Armani to name a few. We were taught everything from skin prep to finishing and they have fab guest speakers who come in to teach. Not only do they teach you how to be a makeup artist, and the art itself, they also give business techniques and guidance to help you set up professionally. AOFM then take you shopping to enable you to build your kit and take advantage of amazing AOFM student discounts. I still attend their free Masterclasses which they run regularly for graduates, which keeps my techniques fresh and my product knowledge up to date. Since my course I have been a fully professional makeup artist. I have repeat clients and have done some amazing weddings over the years. I then went into running my own mini masterclasses where I live in Newcastle which sell out immediately and I have made good profit over the years being a free lance artist. I am now using my experience to do some beauty blogging, tutorials and Influencing on Instagram. AOFM have given me the knowledge and professionalism as well as the confidence to be a successful makeup artist. I can’t thank them enough and would thoroughly recommend this school for all aspects of makeup artistry.

The experience with AOFM was spectacular. The global renown of the academy was felt in every part of my learning process. The learning modules are very complete and well explained and the assessments are demanding. The feedback from my mentor was always real, with focus on improving my technique in a very positive way, even outside the academy my mentor continues to give feedback and recommendations. The decision to become certified with AOFM changed my life so I will always be grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue learning with them.
I have just successfully completed the AOFM online course. Before enrolling on the course I did a lot of research into different schools of makeup. All of the positive reviews about AOFM made me decide to sign up with them. I can confirm they have exceeded all my expectations. Jana (Global Head of Education) and his team are absolutely amazing. This academy really does care about its students and goes above and beyond. The online course is not an easy option to gaining certification as a freelance makeup artist. Everything you learn on the course is to the same standard as attending one of the academies, so if you want to be the best then learn with the best. You are taught by world leading makeup artists who give you not only the best tuition but insightful advice about working in the industry, sharing all their tips and tricks through many years of experience. You will be assigned with your own mentor for the duration of the course who is on hand to guide you through offering support, advice and encouragement to succeed. My mentor was the lovely Alice who was an absolute delight to work with. The kit you receive at the start of your course is fantastic and includes a set of good quality brushes, makeup and skincare to get you started. Everything that AOFM does is so well thought out. The aftercare program that AOFM offers really sets this academy way above all the others. To actually be given the opportunity to work backstage at fashion week at numerous locations around the world is incredible. There are also masterclasses to attend from industry leaders to help increase your knowledge. I am so impressed with AOFM that I will be enrolling at their London academy for the Special FX course, taught by the phenomenal Michelle Webb, to continue my education. I really recommend AOFM to anyone who wants to start a career in this industry and am so excited about my onward journey now that I have finished my online course.
I loved my online course! My makeup kit was a dream come true... the brushes are so great, the modules information is also great and videos are really well done... the one on one calls with my mentor Alice were super great, she was really nice and always gave me great feedback... 9 months after finishing my course I'm still doing free masterclasses with them and the other day I had a free one on one call with the founder just because he wants to stay in touch with students and help them... I really really love this school and I'll always cherish my online makeup course as a A experience!
I have had the most amazing experience with AOFM! My journey started 12 years ago when I completely their makeup & hair course. Fast forward 13 years and I have a strong, successful career working in fashion, advertising, editorial & bridal. Their extensive training and knowledge is priceless and has stayed with me all these years later. I have been fortunate to have had my work featured in Vogue Italia, Grazia, Australian Women's Weekly, WHO, L'Officiel, GQ and many more. I have participated in London Fashion Weeks as part of AOFM ongoing support for their graduates. Following this exposure I have also had the opportunities to be part of Milan Fashion Week and Melbourne Fashion Week. I cannot recommend their training enough - THANK YOU AOFM!!
