Because others have posted about their cleanliness/hygiene, I don't feel the need to. The beer is uninspired and poorly made. The owners are constantly begging for more funding from outside investors rather than create an interesting product. They repeatedly claim they make 'great' Scottish beer and, while the recipes seem similar to many Scottish styles, the execution is poor. Unfortunately the price does not reflect the quality of product or environment. I'm not asking you to make more interesting beer styles because obviously you seem to be more interest in this Scottish trope than making beer people are interested in. The brewery has very little interest in creating a high quality and consistent product and the brewer seems to have very little understanding of how to brew beyond a homebrewer (doesn't taste as though this place has any professional experience) and perhaps this is why he's reluctant to making a different product; his knowledge is as underwhelming as his brewing prowess.

I'd give ten stars if possible. I'm happy to see an establishment not ran by corrupt corporate mandates, but rather fully on their expertise in doing what they do best, and so thank you for that. I look forward to coming by soon.
This is hands down the most friendly and beat service I've ever received at any taproom nationwide (and I've been to a lot of them). The beer was excellent as well. For. Not being a fan of light beer, they had several good Mexican lagers. Their scotch ale is the best I think I've ever had. The strong pale (grows on you as you sip it) was also very good. The ESB and cream ale are both unique and good. They provide free bar snacks as well as free soda to kids. They have a no tip policy, but the service is so good you'll want to go out of your way to provide a handsome tip. Lochiel has set the standard for service at taproom. Well done!
AZ folks, found a new beer place that is awesome. Lochiel Brewing. Simple place that only serves awesome scottish inspired brews. They do have tables and allow delivery of food. I highly recommend.
