The view is a must see! You can take the cable cars right to the top for about 28 Francs (half price with a tageskarte or a GA half fare card). Absolutely worth it. It takes about 15minutes to the top and you won't forget it!

Parachuting over Swiss Alps what could be better
Absolutely incredible experience, you can just get the lift and do the flight but I’d highly recommend the hike. Sure there were times when I felt like my heart was popping out of my chest and times I would have switched my legs for a fitter pair but, if a relatively unfit 30 something can do it. Most can. When reaching the peak the views were breathtaking, the hard work was worth it and the flight.... absolutely incredible. ‘Just run down that hill’ The guys that took us up, Thio and Michael were both brilliant throughout the hike and the flight, a must do and if you really want to work for it, do the hike first. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
This is a MUST GO experience. I'm a pilot myself and can only recommend a flight above Locarno and the Lago Maggiore. At Mountaingliders you will find experienced and helpful staff. Try this once in a lifetime experience you will not regret it! ;-)
Great experience! An amazing flight with ThiO, an experienced paraglider who made me feel comfortable and safe. I enjoyed his technical explanations as well as the stories about the area and the mountains. The sky is definitely the place where one gets the most beautiful view of Lake Maggiore and the peaks surrounding Locarno. Thanks again, ThiO!
DO IT! If you are in Ascona/Locarno and looking for a stunning, peaceful way to experience the view, go with Thio and his experienced team. My husband and I are open to new adventures, but not thrill seekers by any means. This experience would be good for children and adults alike. This is the closest experience to flying like a bird you will receive! And such a view with a great team that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
