Lovely spot for lunch - fish and chips or cream tea. The huge ice creams are a must and big enough to share! If you’re happy to sit on the public benches or the grass make sure you order “take away fish and chips” as it’s quite a bit cheaper, although you don’t get mushy peas.
Had a lovely cream tea, on entering the building we had to fill out track and trace and then was seated to a nice area in the restaurant. The cream tea was so nice and would of received a better rating if the scone was round for the complete package and track and trace was forced. The entrance to the toilet was not monitored and vistors would not wait at the entrance and just went in and waiting in the tiny corridor. After a while people were also just walking in and sitting down at the front entrance door as no one was monitoring this for the hour we were seated so not everyone had filled out track and trace. A few things need to chnage in that regard his did not feel safe.
The restaurant staff were well organised and very professional and friendly. The seating was good. The views were fantastic. The food was delicious. Large portions. The prices were comparable.
The best restaurant in the area. The safety measures they have put in place with the plastic screens to keep people safe are so impressive and the food and service is always top quality. X
