The breaded shrimp were crunchy outside as well as tender and moist inside just the way they should be. However, the cost seemed a bit high for 5 or 6 shrimp and a pile of fries to go. There was no cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, ketchup, salt & pepper, or utensils offered and only the utensils and ketchup were available on request. Overall--acceptable with the potential to be good.

The wings were fried & seasoned just right. Bought the 6 whole wings for 13.95. That's all you get, except hot sauce, not even a slice of bread. Bought hubby a three piece chicken dinner with 2 sides & a large corn muffin for 17.95. The collard greens were good, rice & gravy. The chicken pieces were large & cooked just right. With the sides, hubby couldn't eat but 2 pieces. Have ordered the shrimp & grits in the past, they're good also.
If you are looking for some good ol' home cooking, this is the spot! The food is plentiful and worth every penny. The bar drinks aren't bad either.
This was my second time there and we decided to order seafood. The blackened fish with shrimp was amazing. My son had shrimp Mac & Cheese and that was good too. I live over 20 miles away, and it was worth the drive both times.
The hardest part was choosing what to try. Everything sounded appetizing. My wife and I tried the chicken and waffles. Chicken was deliciously seasoned and the thighs were very juicy! The waffles tasted like they add cinnamon or nutmeg to them and they tasted very good. We also ordered buttermilk biscuits. They make a hole in the top and let the butter melt to the inside. Also delicious! She ordered grits and said they were delicious as well. They weren't too thick or too runny like most places. All in all, if you are in the area, definitely try them out! 10/10 would recommend
