A superb preserved railway winding it way through the beautiful Welsh countryside. For much of the journey it skirts and crosses the river. Good facilities, friendly staff... and really well turned out trains. Plenty to do in Llangillen where there is ample parking. Highly recommended.

Loved every minute! Family and dog friendly. We booked a compartment, for only a few pounds more, which made it more socially distanced! Even managed to convince my daughter we were taking her to Hogwart s!
Aw this is a lovely persevered railway. Fun day out. And probably the only thing to do in Llangollen bar walking.
Lovely steam engine. Good day out. Individual compartments which was welcome. Booked in advance . Staff friendly. Social distancing well done.
Pre-book a family carriage, family loved slightly shorter ride and didn't mind not being able to get on/off train except for carrog station. Felt safe on station as one way however, struggled parking and the town was extremely busy with no social distancing or compulsory wearing of masks, even in shops. Volunteers on railway doing great job though, big thankyou from our family group
