A lovely setting, with some stunning scenery. Only a short walk to the Chain Bridge and also the start of the Llangollen Canal so you could follow the tow path all the way to Llangollen. I also found it a big plus that it was free parking for National Trust Members who have a valid sticker displayed in their windscreen

Apart from the falls, which are impressive and serve to fill the Shropshire Canal, which starts here, there is a lovely church nearby where Robert Browning worshipped while staying locally. Worth a visit. Not exactly Niagara but quite pastoral, despite the crowds.
The horseshoe falls in Llangollen is a very popular area just outside the little town. Walking along the canal forward the world famouse, unique Chainbridge, or going on a train ride Llangollen- Berwin, the horseshoe falls are just a few meters further on. At the River Dee. It is a crowded location during summer when people have picknick and a swimm. The falls are also starting point for White water rafting tours, kayaks and rubber boats along the River Dee forward Llangollen. A little bit up the hill is the Llantisilio Church, well worthy to stop by. Starting at the Horseshoe falls carpark there are many different walking routes around Llantisilio and Llangollen Mountains.
Beautiful place to visit , lovely walks and superb views across the hills.
A nice waterfall to visit after paddleboarding along the Llangollen Canal. It’s quite small but scenic.
