Loved the train ride - great price and stops twice on the way back. Trains are very well maintained and there are picnic areas to stop at with the amazing views next to the lake and can catch the next train. No rush to get back too and can take your time and enjoy. The slate mine museum is one of the stops on the way back and is very informative and best of all is free. Plenty of ice cream opportunities too for the big and little kids .

Nice trip by the lake. Gorgeous scenery. Would have been better if the trip had been a little longer (around an hour in total) but was reasonably priced so can't complain too much

A train ride is a train ride, not the longest ride but does go alongside the Lake as it says. Not best value for money as due to \covid\ we where told we had to pay for our own carriage compartment we agreed as it was last minute however when we arrived at train we sat in a section that could only sit 2 people so we weren't stopping other fare paying passengers, feel we over paid.

Stunning scenery. Train ride is only an hour. 25 quid for family ticket, not bad value for money.

Great little scenic journey around the lake. Stops at a few of the stations around the lake, there's a playground for kids and walks around it. Also entry to the slate museum along its route is free. We were allowed a second journey free that day as part of original return ticket entry, don't know if this is standard but nice to be offered it.
