This is an excellent amenity in the pretty little village. It looks well loved. There are stunning views of Bideford from the nearby crest of the hill. As I walked through the village I found the local people to be happy and freindly... The only person I found to be unhappy was a (German?) Lady who complained bitterly about the foreigners who had moved into the village. I think that anyone who is able to live in the village is very fortunate.

We hired this place for our wedding reception and found it to be ideal. When we arrived to set up the day before the stage was already assembled as requested which was nice. It was a good space to use and there were room dividers in the garage to block off the skittles alley. We hired in a bar company to utilise the already well sized bar area but we did hire in chairs as those bright red ones were not ideal - despite being comfy! We decorated the beams and although the hall does provide ladders I would recommend bringing your own if you can as they aren't particularly safe. There are pins and nails darted around to make mounting things a doddle and there is also a substantial well kitted out kitchen in the back, as one guest described \a Jurassic park kitchen.\ There is also a well sized car park with a beautiful view and I know there is a park just over the road from it. Literally the only downside of this hall is how far out it is and how narrow the surrounding roads are but that said all our vendors found their way there. It has its own PA and lighting but to be honest we were so confused by the set up and were worried we wouldn't be able to navigate it we bought our own in. So all in all definitely worth looking at if you're thinking of booking for an event ️
