Day off with hubby..Had a beautiful lunch today after a long scenic walk..we had home made cheese & onion pie with chips & peas & salad garnish..staff were brilliant couldn't do enough for us..I wanted fish & chips first but they don't do.. had plenty of other choices..you have to come to this beautiful pub & sample their food..you'll have a great visit..fresh & homemade..

Friendly and very well managed. Well kept cask beer, and a decent range of reasonably priced, good quality pub food. The gravy which comes with the beef ciabatta is especially good! Options for vegetarians are more limited in choice though. (Photo is not representative of portion size because it was very tasty and I started eating before remembering to photograph it.)

The food is fresh and tasty no gimmicks just plain homely food and plenty of it. The staff are great and make you feel welcome, we take out two little boys and they always make a fuss. Great place to eat.
