I was quoted 405 for a 24 month IFR static/transponder check and when I picked the plane up they billed me 980! I wasn’t surprised that it required the extra service, but I was surprised that they didn’t contact me before preforming the work. When I asked about them completing the work without asking me, they responded by saying “what were you going to do, it couldn’t be flown anymore so we went ahead and did it”! I gave 2 stars because I don’t have any reason to believe the work was subpar, just the customer service! I would’ve authorized the work, if they had contacted me.
