One of the best modern and contemporary art museum experiences in recent memory. Extensive and exciting collection of work, and an engaging and thoughtful museum design overall. Free on Saturdays, too! Highly recommended.

This is my favourite modern art museum in Europe. I've been to most of the popular ones across all of the capital EU countries and this one blows me away. Even having Covid-19 measures in place this museum still provides a mind blowing experience. It's conveniently located across from the Tower of Balem so it makes for a perfect transition from sighting seeing to art exploration!
It is an extremely beautiful museum that the architecture itself is remarkable and instagrammable. Upon entry you can feel the solemn atmosphere built up by the beige stone walls layer by layer which prepare you for the elegant artistic journey two hours ahead. The museum itself is huge and so as the collection. The top floor shows the art before the 1970s? while the bottom floor shows the work of a more modern era. Both are beautiful curated with a great variety of works. They give you a quick revision of art history. In the middle floor there is a big temporary exhibition with a great variety of themes not limited to Portugal. At that time, a photography and installation exhibition was on show. Not my cup of tea, but the space itself is stunning. In the outdoor area you can see beautiful colourful sculptures and a garden that overlooks the area and the sea. The garden is blessed with olive trees and small ponds and it is a nice place to enjoy a stroll. After seeing the exhibition, do not miss the interesting art shops that offer high quality postcards, artworks, gadgets and handicraft at a reasonable price.
Such a fabulous selection of modern art, a really enjoyable few hours can be spent here. Staff seemed really friendly and price for entry was very reasonable. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in Lisbon!
Really good gallery I liked it so much! And enjoyed the exhibition. They have nice collection of photos, arts and some sculptures. Gallery is pretty big and I spent there near 2 hours. Free entrance every Saturday.
Nice Art collection of XX century. Also interesting temporary exhibitions. Really big museum which needs at least 2hours to go through. Definitely recommend to visit while in Lisboa and wonder around this area
A great museum for a good value of money in the nice area of Belem!
For 5 it's great bang for the buck. Not the best modern art exhibition in Lisbon, but one of the best. The views in CCB are not too shabby too
