After many bad experiences with workshops in Lisbon, this was the first place to be absolutely worth a recommendation. If you are searching for extraordinary passion, competence and communication (also in English) in order to get your car fixed quickly and for a fair price, don't look further. Was always very professional and on time, as well as keeping one up to date - in strong contrast to many other places. Thank you!

This amazing experience led me to write my first review! This mechanic is next level. I had to change the axle boot and a light bulb. I contacted him on Monday, brought the car on Tuesday morning and picked it in the afternoon with filled washer fluid, all oils checked, etc. He knows his stuff and explains everything he does. Prices are super fair and most importantly: he is honest - which, in my opinion, is missing very often in this field! Update: I stranded on the way home to Germany with a broken AC Clutch. 12pm in the middle of nowhere of Spain and he helped me fixing it via WhatsApp. This guy is amazing. Thanks again Helder!

Incredible service! Helder speaks perfect English which made communicating so easy. I bought an old van and brought it to Helder after it broke down. He provided exceptional service to make sure my car runs well. Highly recommend!

Mecanico do Bairro is a very HONEST, helpful, knowledgeable, affordable, and HONEST mechanic. He also works very quickly. I am a mechanic myself, but I left my tools at home when I moved to Portugal. So I use this garage when my cars need service. I have sent two of my friends to this garage as well. We have all had exceptional service every time. In addition to Portuguese, he speaks perfect English, and I believe he also speaks French and German (but I'm not sure about French and German).
