We purchased the full protection cover and everything went smooth. The staff was very friendly and the process was very fast and easy. We walked in, and within 10 minutes were out with the car. The fleet consists of relatively new cars and they are very well maintained (our Fiat 500 was immaculate). I highly recommend them !

My husband and I have used the Hertz rental car service out of Lisbon airport for almost 6 years and have always had an easy time booking and returning our vehicles. The staff is always kind, efficient, and respectful. On many occasions we've worked with a woman named Isabel, who has been especially helpful and speaks wonderful English (which is great for me, a non-Portuguese speaking American!). When we see Isabel at the Hertz counter we know we're in good hands, she always has the answers to our questions and renting with her is a seamless transaction. I highly recommend using Hertz if choosing to rent a car for your Portuguese vacation!

We rented an SUV for our 10 days trip to faro and back to lisbon. We waited at least an hour until we received the car. Afterwards we had an accident because of the damaged streets of portugal (broken wheel). Hertz hotline was very hard to reach at that time (03.08.17/19:00o'clock). They brought us to the store, where we have been told that accidents with wheels and windows are not included in the insurance, although we booked the most expensive insurance (fully comprehensive insurance). Hertz is not cooperative in this cases. Be aware that the hertz-insurance doesn't cover the most common troubles that can take place. Also the prices are very high compared to the competition -\u003ealso for the same car.

Hertz is managing the rental for Firefly car rental. we discovered that after 2O minutes. A good deal to book with firefly price and have Hertz services and cars.

Upon drop-off an employee billed us a surcharge of 7.50 for interior cleaning, since the car seats and mats were sandy. I consider this surcharge an attempt of fraud to make extra money! I have rented cars on all continents with all other global car rental companies and returned cars in worse cleaning conditions and was NEVER charged a cent especially not for a normal vacuum cleaning of the rental car. However, waiting times were ok and the car itself and the price as well.

The worst possible place to rent a car. They complicate the process to an extent that they try to force you to book the 'full insurance' which costs 30 per day (which is a multiple of the supposed rental price). And the people are so insanely rude because this scam is tried on many people who probably don't react well. Never, really never in your life book here!
