This place is so interesting! You can take an actual vintage carris inside the museum which is such an experience. You can get inside some of the cars too and feel what it’s like to sit at the driver’s seat. Had so much fun!

This place was a very pleasant surprise. For just 4 you get to see three different exhibits and a vintage tram ride on the grounds of the depot is included. And this is a REAL vintage tram car, not one of the remodeled types still in service. The trams and busses on display are cool, you can enter several of them! It's a must see.
Very cool museum with the history of Carris and the Lisbon subway system. Very few people, in fact, I went with my friend and we were the only ones there so the visit is awesome. You also get to ride in an old tram car in between two of the buildings. You can take photos inside some of the vehicles in the exhibition as well.
Tells the story of public transport in Lisbon from the very beginning and until today. The exhibition is split in 3 buildings covering different times. Transport between the buildings is done in an old tram car, a really cool idea! I found the tram exhibition (building 2) the most interesting and I like the fact that you can enter many of the vehicles to experience them up close. Entrance is free if you have the multi-day transport ticket.
Our son is obsessed with transportation type stuff so we thought this place would be ideal. We came in September and were thoroughly disappointed. We arrived one day and were told it was closed because of anniversary prep or something. So we went back when we were told to go back and then they said it was only admission to the museum, wouldn't go on anything. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Luckily didn't cost us anything except the train cost from downtown Lisbon. Waste of time, they make up their hours day by day. Strongly suggest not going. 1/5.
A great place if you are interested in Trams. Many different Lisbon trams and buses and old power plant controls. A very good museum.
Fantastic little museum if you love trams. It shows the history of Lisbon's tram and other public transport. You get to ride a very very old tram between buildings. Very friendly staff. It's nice and quiet, away from the tourist crowd. The best 4 euro we spent in Lisbon!
Nice museum for those who are interested in how public transport in Lisbon has evolved, with an emphasis on local rail transport. There are (at least) two parts, one with historic information, the other where one can see some old and newer rolling stock. Unfortunately the latter part was closed for some event on the day of my visit, so I could only watch from a distance. At least they waived the entrance fee of 2,00. All in all interesting, despite the fact that everything was very passive; no tour, the one corner where there was evidence of a video presentation, was not working. I definitely picked the wrong day.
