Really pleasant place to walk the dog, picnic, get the kids out of the house. Plenty of space to walk around. With the lake, ducks, deer, woods and the play park there is plenty for all ages. Most of the paths are fairly wheelchair friendly and accessible parking too. Parking is free with an overflow car park close by. Supposed to be loos and cafe on site but we didn't get that far.

What a great place to walk, run, walk the dogs, take the kids. There is even camping and pods. Lovely circular walks. With areas digs can be off lead and others they must be on lead. Swans, and lots of other wildlife. Free parking and information boards. Well worth a visit, any time of year.

It doesn't matter what the season, there is always enough room to escape into nature at Hartsholme Park. And it's definitely worth taking the long way round to get to Swanholme Lake... my kids love to run down the small hills that border Swanholme. Younger children will enjoy the play park and kids of all ages will enjoy the giant pendulum swing (maybe a few adults, too). Take in the scenery, grab a hot chocolate from the cafe, feed the squirrels peanuts and enjoy the fresh air. But bring wellies if it has rained recently, the paths get muddy. Overflow car parking available just up the road from the park at the football pitches, if you can't find a space in the park car park. Tip: If you time it right, you can watch the sun set over the lake...

The Park is very well kept and has a small cafe. Its large grounds contain a lake, childrens play park and large wooded areas. A must visit for all the family where you can explore the wooded areas and walk your dogs. There are various tables and large green spaces available for picnicking. Overall this is a great place to visit, myself and my family have spent many happy hours here.
