There's no sensible reason it should take them 25 minutes to make 2 plain bacon butties only to then realise they forgot our hot drinks too. Embarrassingly slow service for such a simple order. Takeaway order too so we were stood out in the snow the whole time : (

My wife is heavily pregnant, and really needed to use the toilet. We had just bought breakfast and drinks here and the lady that was serving us asked the boss if she could use the toilets and she was refused. We have been here a few times but we will never come again.

LImekiln is unique and a story of 2 halves. Upside - great position by the water, very creative menu, lovely staff, very well run. Its a wonderful place. But there is a downside. Located close to 2 bends on a busy road, getting in and out of the tiny car park, and getting a space at all without being blocked in, can be a real nightmare. Add to that the Cafe and eating areas are s-m-a-l-l so once it's full it can feel cramped. Not Limekilns fault, they are victims of their own success and what a shame they cant extend the premises/car park in some way, but I doubt they can. This does mean they're seriously outgrowing their space and the limited space can make it a stressful visit for some customers, which is such a shame.
