Lima Municipal Court

The civil division also handles small claims cases, in which the amount of money in dispute is $6,000 or less. Criminal & Traffic The Criminal and Traffic Division processes and maintains the entries and orders of the Court, accepts bail and bond on all offenses and establishes and monitors defendants'​ payment plans. Felony charges from arrest to preliminary hearing are recorded and transmitted to Common Pleas Court. Probation The Lima Municipal Court Probation Department is responsible for post- and pre-sentence investigations, probation supervision, and community service intake and referral. The Probation Department is also responsible to work with the City Prosecutor for preparation for all non-compliance cases in Probation and Community service.
