Visited a few years ago and decided to come back on this trip. Delicious food, friendly & cheerful staff - winning combination! The place is very popular, so booking in advance is highly recommended. Thank you for another great meal, see you again in another few years!

Fantastic service & food. Great choice of good English grub Located in an out of the way Alnwick piazza with seating inside & out. Couple of interesting shops nearby, including a quality deli. Just a minute's walk from the centre & a couple more to the castle. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing meal here last night...we are staying in the area for afew days and googled good eateries...and this didn't disappoint! We had a nice table upstairs.. the crab cakes starter were gorgeous..the fillet steak was cooked to perfection.. the deserts!! Wow!! The service was fabulous!! Definitely recommend Lilburns!!
Family run restaurant, lovely food at a reasonable price. I recommend the fish and chips; the haddock melts in your mouth! Very good vegetarian options too. The roasted vegetable and goat's cheese tart was so tasty and presented in a novel way , beautifully light pastry and just an amazing taste sensation. We went twice in our two week holiday, sat outside and took our dog.
Very interesting restaurant.... Very deceptive from the outside, but lovely little place with super fresh food. We were not so hungry so just settled for the pate and a potato wedges. Food was very well presented and very tasty. I would recommend it. This place looks very interesting and very popular with the locals... So it must be good... Must try the wine list next time. Well worth the five star ratings.
