Very disappointed experience, my first time here to do some paddle boarding and I was told off by the local jobs worth person who had nothing better to do than seeing who didn't have the right equipment, he was rude and condescending. Its also a money making scheme for this club so that people have to rent out life jackets, and other necessary equipment, unbelievable a good day spoiled by one person who should let people take responsibility for their actions and also he was constantly looking to see who he could tell people off, next time go further down the lake to avoid this awful person who has no customer service skills. It was nice to othet peolel notice his behaviour being outrageous. As a trave agent I would never recommend this place

Stayed at the campsite on a grass pitch. quiet view of the lake. Stayed one night. Launched my canoe and had a slow paddle viewing the wildlife. sheltered lake. Tied up at the cafe pontoon across the lake and had a cup of tea.... not my first visit canoeing , never disappointed.... adequate toilet and shower facilities, good walks around the waterside. will be back again for a longer weekend. enjoy !!!
Been a member of Roadford Lake Sailing club on and off, for over 20 years. Like many small clubs we struggle to get reasonable sized fleets, but still we get out on the water and have a ton of fun. If you are looking for a bit of fun laidback dinghy sailing, just mozy on down and find us.
