Friday evening visited Lidl as normal and staff spot on as normal from security guard to managers all speak say himy only problem is the bread being handled by lots of customers then thrown back in !! The bread is fantastic as are the donuts but only get them if visiting as they come out on opening !! Every UK Lidl the same and we are the only country in Europe that does not have a covered self service where the breads are pushed to the side and drop out noone can touch them and smell them squeeze them or walk away eating them! Most handle and dig through bare handed looking for what I don't know then throw them back I have had arguments with people pointing out that what the prongs are for !! People go to the toilet many never wash their hands so imagine what you may be taking how on a donut or loaf disgusting really ! Presently their is a virus in the world!! So Lidl needs to look in to a covered self service same as Europe other than that I always like Lidl ! Just the breafd issue!!
Lidl is always good to walk round some shops can be depressing and some make you feel good Lidl makes you feel good. It's a hard choice Aldi or Lidl so we do some at each one.Some people don't like the fact they sell some German food too but I think it's good we have a chance to try it if we want to, as we all know they are German so they will have German food for sale, we don't have to buy it but choice is good. It's nearly a year since I've been in a shop my brilliant husband does all the shopping I just drive the car, I miss it so so much but he tells me all about it, very special man......I said I miss shopping, well I did, now I don't want to go out at all....

Please like if helpful Don't know what some of the other reviewers are on about. The store is fantastic, clean and with a magnificent choice of goods, by no stretch of the imagination expensive and yes, very busy as you might expect. Each time I visit a new lidl they just get better and better. The Aldi down the road is ok but just not in the same league.
