This review isn’t about what Lidl offers in terms of food vs Sainsbury’s and Waitross on the high street, it’s about the overall customer experience. It’s great for parking for a couple of hours, the store itself isn’t the cleanest. Security guards sometimes manage the store capacity at the front but the majority of the time no one is there, you get an area to clean the baskets and hand sanitiser but the baskets are generally filthy. The staff are friendly and helpful, the self service checkouts are quick, but not cleaned after every use (you’ll notice the difference in M&S where they do this religiously). There’s no hand sanitiser as you leave Lidl which doesn’t make sense, the management team just need to walk around this store like a customer would and make these changes for the better.

Very good value when you keep your eye out for bargains, but isles are cramped, long queues and ridiculously small place to pack your shopping items. 2017 2018 update: Now have self-scan which works, a little slow but didn't get a single \unexpected item in the baggage area\ once. Store is small and car park too. Not sure they're going to be able to compete with Aldi when it opens.

Lidl Tonbridge has some good products but is not a good shopping experience. The aisles are cramped and messy. The whole space is too small for the amount of products and the layout is not good. Add the fact that the car park is down a very long ramp behind the store it is not a nice place to shop. Sorry Lidl but you need to move to better premises to do justice to your products.

Very small, quite cramped. No one-way system during semi isolation, felt a bit close to everyone but no other issues. Staff were nice and friendly, love the bakery area, fairly well stocked for midday Saturday. No queue. Not rushed at till either.
