Runshaw College provides a really good atmosphere and learning environment. In particular, I enjoy going to Runshaw Social Group. The staff are friendly and sympathetic people. I see students getting on well with each other.

Runshaw College is a place where results are the only thing that matters. I did fine with two of my A-Levels but I struggled a lot with Maths. I attended every single support session, every single study day and did every single homework. I was improving but not fast enough for this college. I was being barraged with warnings and threats that if I didn’t improve my “effort” soon I risk losing my place at Runshaw. I got phone calls home about how poor my effort was in maths, I got letters, warnings and was told that my effort required significant improvement on every single report. It was a completely draining experience considering I was doing 3 extra maths lessons in college a week, had an external tutor and was juggling 2 other intense A-Level subjects. Personal Tutor sessions were simply another opportunity to go over my seemingly terrible effort in maths. It was at the point where I was doing so much work with maths, it was starting to impact my other subjects. I felt totally cornered by the risk of receiving enough warnings to lose my place at the college weeks before the A-Level exams. To put it simply, my grade was not where I wanted it to be in maths but that was not through a lack of trying. This place offers no recognition of that fact and will hound you until you drop out. It is in a very nice area and the college itself is generally a nice place. God help you if you wish to drive a car there though but that’s a whole new topic. I can imagine Runshaw is a great place to go if you are fantastic across the board but god help you if you are not, they will make your life a misery.
Studied here from 2018-2020. Teaching is excellent, great facilities all round. Food served can be expensive at times!
My daughter attended this college September 2019 and as we all know only attended for nearly 6 months, only to be told she could not continue with the next level as they thought she would \struggle\. She was completing the PPP course to which they decided to get rid of her after 6 months. Do not attend this college if you want to pursue a career you will only get thrown out. Never recommend this college, they will only knock your son or daughters confidence if they attend this college. Discusting!
The college in terms of teaching standards is pretty good. The food however is priced pretty high. The canteen staff take forever to serve you leaving you little time to enjoy. In terms of social life the college occasionaly has events on but there isnt much to do in Leyland which I understand is completely out if Runshaw's hands.
