Moved from Ca. and trying to understand the laws out here. Was pulled over due to not getting into other lane as an officer was giving someone a ticket. I had an emergency and was trying to get my friend to the hospital. The officer called the ambulance for us. The officer was very kind and understanding. He stayed with me the whole time. Do not know if this was your jurisdiction or the Lexington police dept., however, I want to thank you and keep up the good work.

My car was one of several break ins at my apartment complex. Lexington PD was no help at all. I was told by the dispatcher that someone would come. Received a call about 20 minutes later saying to text the pictures of my shattered window to a cell phone. No one even showed up. Not only were there plenty of others standing by their shattered windows, but a lady said she saw who did. Someone should have been there to take her statement. At least have the decency to show up and do your job.

We had an unfortunate incident earlier today where we broke down trying to make a left turn (involving a very large Uhaul truck with small pull behind uhaul trailer) and ended up blocking traffic. Officer Spears arrived on scene and stayed with us for the very long time it took to resolve the situation and then followed us to the gas station where the Uhaul truck was taken in order to reopen the road. He was very courteous, caring and helpful. Thank you, Officer Spears. On the other hand, the Sheriff himself showed up first and was not very polite or understanding. Of course, Sheriff Koon, we understood we couldn't stay that way ALL day. You might want to think about the way you treat the people who vote for the office of sheriff.
