I want to thank Texas Tradition and Gil for our dream patio. We interviewed a lot different companies. We were looking for a company that 1) could help us determine the best design option for building our patio, 2)reasonable cost, 3) good communication, 4) stands behind their warranty and 5) good references. We found all of these in Texas Tradition. Gil provided detailed drawings to help us determine the final specifications. The finished patio looked exactly like the drawings Gil provided. Gil did an outstanding job at keeping us updated on what was going on, what would happen next, etc. I would definitely recommend Gil and his team for building your dream patio. We did have an issues with our pavers because they were sealed. Gil and Texas Tradition stood behind their warranty and took care of the issue.

Texas Traditions did a fantastic job on our complete outdoor living space. Great ideas, great execution. Keith was always available to us and any small things we needed changed, he made sure happened until we were completely satisfied. Thanks for the great new space.

We used Texas Traditions to build out outdoor covered patio, kitchen and fire-pit in our backyard. We had 5 firms bidding on our proposal and went with Tony Ash from Texas Traditions since he listened to our requirements and responded with the best design of all the vendors. Tony was transparent about the work that was being done and the elements that would not be feasible in our project. We appreciated the honesty. We setup a shared Pintrest board that greatly informed the design. Would recommend this to others so your vision can be articulated and discussed with elements from the board. From initial discussion to completion of build it took about 9 months. December '19 -August '20. Mostly attributed to HOA re-submissions and general impact from COVID. Project construction itself took 6 weeks. I happen to be working form home during the construction and I think this benefited the project itself since I could give feedback in real-time on decisions that might have taken a few hours/days to cycle back from the trades to Tony.

First off let me say that the owner of Texas Tradition, Darren, is a man proud of his company and his dedication to excellence is evident in his desire to do the right thing by the customer. That being said, I must point out the company’s single greatest flaw and that is in its salesman, “Keith.” To Keith I was nothing more than an invoice number and a commission check. At month’s end near the jobs completion he demanded I pay the entire balance and close the job, regardless of the fact that there was still work yet to be done and flaws not yet addressed. At a walk through (that I had to ask for) I pointed out gutter installed that didn’t match the new ones on my house, a dent in my new Blaze grill, the living room floor damaged from the job, pavers that were not restrained and a drain and cap placed a poor location. When all this was addressed, Keith scoffed at it. When I refused to pay the bill in full (I paid 75%) Keith got angry and threatened to place a lean on my property or run my credit card for the remaining balance. He then argued with me and as he bragged about his 70k truck and media room that was the size of my property. After a phone call to Darren and a heartfelt apology from him, I had Keith removed from the job, and Darren took over the project to see the patios final completion. The gutters, pavers, drain, grill and the living room floor were all addressed. Would I use Texas Traditions again? Yes, my patio looks great. Would I recommend them? Again yes, they use good material, have a good reputation, are reasonable (I got 5 bid) and Darren is a man of his word. But do yourself favor and ask for someone other than Keith to be your sales rep. I would have given Texas Traditions 5 stars, but I cannot justify 5 stars when they have an individual like Keith working for them.

The cedar pergola they built was done very well. In fact, we loved it so much we had a 2nd smaller cedar pergola built to shade our Japanese maple tree. We highly recommend them!
