Perfect location, calm pension with stunning mountain view and tasty breakfast. There is a nice historical hiking route "Französensteig" nearby, ask the host. Stuff is friendly and nice
What a great Austrian hotel! We loved our stay here. The owners (a Finnish couple with outstanding taste in cars) could not be more hospitable and the hotel was very nice, roomy and quite comfortable. Worth noting that this hotel served the best coffee we found in Austria or Germany! The hotel shares a property with a great little beir hall whose owner is equally friendly. Location is outstanding, a very short (and picturesque!) drive from lovely Mittenwald and Garmish. Highly recommend Hotel Barenwirt!
