Win 7 wouldn't open, and my G drive (photo storage) would go missing on occasion. Took my PC to my previous repair shop - machine was there for 2 days, and when I picked it up, I was assured Windows was operational, but G drive was unrecoverable, as were all it's contents. Went straight to Tech Yes for a 2nd opinion - Windows WASN'T working (it was after Garret had a look at it) and after about 4 hours, he also found and recovered G drive and all it's contents. I have now found a new repair shop that I plan to stay with. These boys were informative - didn't talk over my head, and took the time to explain what they were doing, and how the thing worked. Very satisfied with this shop - customer satisfaction is paramount with them - I'll be going back.
Took my laptop in for a screen repair. Initially I was quoted at around 120 dollars, which was fine. They called me and told me the screen they ordered wasn't compatible. This was fine, told them no problem. No word back for a couple weeks, had to call them and ask what the deal was. Told me they were expected the screen soon, would let me know. A couple more weeks pass. I call again, as they have had my laptop for a month at this point, and ask what's going on. They say they're expecting the screen this week. Call me THE NEXT DAY and tell me it's in and good to go. I get it back, there's an imprint under the keyboard, it's throwing up some random "check connection" message on boot, and there's splatter on it like someone sneezed all over it. Yeah, real good timing huh? I won't be recommending these guys to anybody I know, and I won't be taking any other stuff I have in to them for service. The repairs ended up being 180, instead of 120. What a joke.
