We were there for the last day of the summer season for a wonderful extended lunch. Much looking forward to returning in December with our skis! Great location, hospitality and good food.

Nice, good service and nice food
Perfect place
At an elevation of 7000feet, the Eterlou is a restaurant/cafe with the most stunning of views overlooking the the snowcapped Alps in the Savoie region.. I reached the eatery via cable car from the ski resort of La Norma, which is only a few kilometres away from the town of Modane. The atmosphere is convivial and holiday like, the tables filled with skiers, snowboarders and walkers such as myself. Surrounding me were customers of all nationalities, as these locations attract people from the world over. My friend and I waited a good ten minutes for service, the place was understaffed but copping admirably. My friend decided to go to the bar and order our Hot Mulled Wines, a regional speciality. At 4 Euros each, she was served immediately and the drinks were excellent. I walked down the mountain, whilst my friend skied.... I took two and a half hours, my friend did it in ten minutes. I wish I could ski....
Perfect place to stop, drink a coffee and continue to ride on snowtracks in La Norma !!!
