We sat for 30 minutes before they thought to take our order. An hour in and we've had an appetizer but no butter for the bread and impossible to get the server's attention. We came based on a Micheline guide recommendation... they were very busy and I think perhaps under-staffed. Despite the lack of attentive service, the food was good.

Perfect food, perfect service, perfect sky for the sunset. The first night we saw this restaurant, they were fully booked. The second time we came, we were late for lunch and we had to book the restaurant to solidify our spot. We were finally able to try them out and it was well worth the wait. We an amazing experience with L'Epicerie. The staff were so warm and accommodating. She took the time to explain our food especially the cheese. The food was exceptional. Everything was absolute perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates food. You won't be disappointed.
Lovely food; interesting selection of food, well presented with good portion sizes. The fixed menu doesn't have a great deal of choice (which can sometimes be good) so bear that in mind if anyone is fussy with choice.
Exquisite presentation and flavors. The staff is very friendly and fast. We went at peak dinner time so sometimes our food would take a little longer to come, but no worries - it allowed for a relaxed dinner conversation. There are two dinner menus for 25 and 30 eurs. We saw them turn away many customers who didn't have a reservation, so it's safer to book a table before you go. The toilet is kept clean. They accept cash, cards and cheque vacances.
A good choice for lunch while visiting Amboise. We enjoyed the food so much so that we returned the following day. The service was exceptional and staff very helpful.

Conveniently located by the castle. The restaurant was very busy every time with full of tourists and locals. Authentic charming interior with beautiful touches. Dishes were presented beautifully with full flavors. Every dishes were delightfully delicious. The oysters were fresh with amazing sea flavors. Iberico pork dish is just try!!! The serving staffs were very friendly and professional. At our visit, the restaurant filled up less than 30 minutes which created very slow services but foods were worth waiting. It was nice chance to relax and enjoy the evening. Love to go back for amazing dining experience. Two thumbs up!!!
The food was exceptional, and the service was excellent. I had the chef’s specialty: tournedos de bœuf façon Rossini, which I thoroughly enjoyed, the beef was cooked perfectly. My wife had the gambas flambées au whiskey, which she also liked. I recommend to anyone to make sure they have a reservation a day or more in advance as it is always booked.
