We were looking for somewhere cosy and welcoming to have breakfast prior to exploring Barnstaple and stumbled across Lemon Next to the Pie. It was really comfortable with fresh decor. The girl behind the counter was extremely helpful, cheerful and friendly and the food was delicious. We all had varied breakfast sandwiches and drinks and nothing was too much trouble. We were also impressed when we ordered a banana milkshake and, as we had had skimmed milk in our tea, the server checked whether we wanted the milkshake made with skimmed. The coffee was also very good. I would thoroughly recommend this café.

Called in for a coffee then decided to try the breakfast stack. What a great decision the dish is well balanced and extremely tasty. The staff are friendly very nice people. If you are in Barnstable call in and support this lovely cafe.
Nice little cafe just off High Street. Excellent sausage sandwich and really tasty patty with the Veggie breakfast!
Wonderful, friendly coffee shop. Great service, great cake. They are taking all precautions in these trying times and deserve all the best
