We have visited this restaurant twice now. You have to pay in cash until they have the facility to pay by card. You also have to take your own alcohol, until the drinks licence is obtained. If it was not for the above then it would be a definite 5 stars. The service is friendly and organised. The decor is nice. The food is the real star. We have now had 5 dishes and they were all of a very high quality and absolutely delicious. I recommend to anyone and will definitely be back soon..Just what the town needs. Brilliant!!
Very nice food, decent portion size, great tasting sauces and as odd as it sounds, the vegetables were great.
The staff are very welcoming when you enter the restaurant which has been refurbished to make it a cosy and relaxing dining space. The menu is a combination of Thai and Chinese cuisine with the emphasis on Thai and the food is delicious with succulent meat and seafoods , crispy vegetables , perfectly cooked rice and noodles and of course marvellous spicy Thai sauces . I hadn't eaten much Thai food before but the Lemongras in Banff has givrn me a real taste for it and I fully intend to work through the menu as so far everything we have tried from Chicken Pad Kee Mao ( spicy chicken stir fry) to Yum Goong ( spicy prawn salad) has been really good and this combined with the friendly attentive staff means that I'll be back again and again. Had to add this postscript to mention the megatastic banana fritters doused sprinkled with sesame seeds , doused in honey and served with ice cream , cream and a slice of strawberry , just perfect .
