Charming! What a lovely restaurant. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place due to Google reviews. It really is a gem. Cute restaurant in Tours. Frequented by many locals but they also welcome tourist. The service was very friendly and kind. Great local wines. Delicious well prepared food. I had a delicious chicken and my husband lamb 2 ways. We ate a lot of meals in Europe and this one was one of my favourites. Great value. And very reasonable prices. Make sure you make a reservation. We saw many people try and walk in and were turned away.

Excellent food and service
After a long, tiring journey all the way from England, all we wanted was a nice, relaxing meal with great food and friendly people. And we got exactly this! It was a super hot evening and I was hoping we'd get to sit outside, and we did. L'Embellie is in the heart of the old city, so there is people-watching a-plenty, and you could literally sit outside this restaurant and people-watch for hours. We were greeted by smiley, welcoming staff and quick service. The menu is full of regional delicacies, every one of them delicious. It was so good we have booked a table for on our way home, which is coincidentally my birthday. I know I won't be disappointed!
After scrolling through various options for French food in Tours, we decided to eat at L’embellie for dinner and it was the best choice! We came to the restaurant right at opening at 7pm and was lucky to get a table outside with no reservation. My bf and I opted for the 3 course dinner. The meal started off with two free dishes, a pancake with goat cheese chicken skewer, and a tomato soup. Both were delicious! For the appetizer I got the shrimp tarter and my bf the fried quail. The shrimp tarter was very refreshing. The fried quail taste like Japanese karage “fried chicken”. Both starters were amazing! For the main course, I got the tuna filet and my bf the beef tarter with foie gras. My tuna filet was a bit dry and flavorless, I would not get again. My bf loved his entree! The beef tarter was very tender, and together with a bite of foie gras and flakey pastry, it was a taste of heaven! For dessert I got the whites chocolate and raspberry cake with raspberry sorbet, and my bf got the chocolate, praline and hazelnut mouse cake. Perfect dessert to finish off an amazing meal in Tours! Overall I highly recommend L’embellie and would definitely eat here again if I visit Tours again.
Top service and amazing food, great present and with interesting combination of food
Excellent service and delicious high quality dishes at a reasonable price. Make sure to dress up if you can - I wore my suit. And make a reservation days in advance as they fill quickly. Looking forward to return.
