I walk down here with my Charlie dog. He's friendly with other dogs. You can walk for miles and miles. It's a truly beautiful place.

One of my favourite places to run or go for a walk. Lots of places to sit and chill in the summer. When it's flooded though some of the paths are hard to cross unless you've got wellies :)

A well maintained urban park a nice get away from it all, lakes, canals, country walks. You wouldn't believe your surrounded by trunk roads and housing estates. Worth a visit if your at a lose end in the Leicester area.

The are two main car parks, north and south. We parked in the north. It was 2.50 for the day, very reasonable charges for these days. There is a large pub just outside the gates, and a canal path perfect for arriving by cycle. You can easily spend a day wandering round the park, it's massive, with lots of wildlife to see, and many picnic areas to relax in. It was quiet when we visited, we only saw around a dozen people, or just maybe the park does a good job of swallowing up it's visitors
