Always found staff to be polite and friendly until last weekend when unpleasant comments were made by two older ladies working in store towards my husband who was in store to send a parcel. When leaving the store, one lady sarcastically remarked to the other 'sending parcels - really essential' intending my husband to hear and intending to make him feel uncomfortable. My husband was wearing a mask and observing social distancing, as he always does. Ordering essentials online at the moment is a must, not a choice, and unfortunately a defective item needed to be returned. We cannot afford to keep defective items, like many I'm sure, our finances are tight right now. The store offers a parcel collection service and should treat customers utilising that service with respect. If you can't do that, withdraw the service, which I'm sure retailers are paying you to provide. The gentlemen in front of my husband only purchased magazines, which seems no more essential than our trip, yet he was not subject to rudeness from the staff. We've previously always been served by a very friendly, welcoming gentlemen (who has always provided a 5 star service, so I can relate to the other positive reviews here, which is the only reason this review isn't 0 stars) so it is unfortunate that these ladies are unable to offer the same high level of customer service as their colleague. The store does have a good range of items for sale but there are other stores nearby and this visit has somewhat put us off of visiting again.

The best corner shop in Lewes! There's a large variety of food and wine here. They sell organic coffee, non-dairy milk and lots of fruit and veg along with fresh and frozen food. Friendly staff and great opening times.
Lovely people, wide range of stock, good pricing and have dealt with the lockdown very well.
