I love this park. The section where the mansion is located is very clean and spacious with a garden, memorial, and other buildings. I love going hiking here with my dogs. The Ridge Top Trail is a great workout. It has a upward incline than a down hill hike. Be sure to wear hiking shoes because the down hill is pretty steep in some sections. This part is dog friendly. That's another section of trail that I skipped this time.

Gorgeous, expansive location. A ton of trails to walk alone, with your family, your dog, plus I have even seen horses been ridden there too. Well maintained grounds, very clean, although I didn't see any trash cans around but we took our trash home with us anyway. Worth noting professional photographer need a permit to take pics here. It was gorgeous on this fresh fall day.
This is a well maintained park. Many hiking trails and horse trails as well. Very clean and tranquil. The historic houses (by paid fee to visit inside) are interesting and the tour guides are knowledgeable. There are many activities that go on throughout the year here, but hiking is available year round and is by far my favourite thing about the park.
Wow, didn't even know anything about this landmark until we sort of wandered in on a weekend. What a wonderful estate to visit with the well taken care of grounds, hiking trails and museums. Going to have to visit a few more times to get the full experience but I'm sure it will be one of those places we will frequent.
This park is AMAZING! Polo in the Park, held every Saturday in summer, is such a fun and affordable event! Be sure to bring plenty of water and food for your tailgate, it can get a little hot but it'll definitely be a good time!
