I can remember when this depot used to be thiving with traction and rolling stock back in the days of when it used to be BR but sadly we have lost the good old days of when you used to be able to go and have a look around many of the depots around the UK where the staff wre friendly and have the time to give you a guided tour of their work place. Happy memories.

If trains are your bag, you could do a lot worse. I'm a train driver, so little choice in the matter but to visit such places.
It's a place of work that don't like trainspotters. Nice old library just beyond worth a look.
