Social distancing is practiced. The priest was approaching each of the mass-goers observing social distancing and asking them if they are ok and you can share their feelings to him. Really appreciate him so much.
Very peaceful and beautiful inside, have to admit I shed a tear. Not a place to wander round as much as larger cathedrals, had more of an active church feeling, but lovely to sit and collect your thoughts. Stained glass windows stunning. not to far from the main shopping area so nice to take a break from the madness of life.
I used to visit here for the Sunday mass. The church staffs including volunteers are extremely supportive and kind. Our family had lived in Leeds for 4.5 years. During that time, Leeds Cathedral was our spiritual home. May be the first in our list if we visit Leeds again. Enjoyable: 5/5 Design: 5/5 Staffs: 5/5 It's a little weird to say the church is enjoyable. But the church itself is a true jewel of Gothic architecture and worth visiting even if you're not a Christian. The welcoming and peaceful atmosphere is always in our heart.
