I recently was advised to contact Lauren Cooper (based in their Leeds office), as I needed help and advice regarding a potential claim for Medical Negligence. I found Lauren extremely understanding, patient and sympathetic (not what I would normally say about Solicitors!) and she listened carefully to my situation and then acted swiftly to research my case. She explained my position in language & legal speak which I could understand and I found her manner very reassuring. Lauren has true warmth and empathy. Whilst I will not be pursuing this matter further, I wanted to thank Lauren for her help and support during this difficult time.
If I could give this company zero stars I would but unfortunately I had to give them one star just to be able to write this review. I was told that I would receive a call back between 3&4pm yesterday but that they could not guarantee that the callback would be at that exact time but no one bothered calling me at all. When I finally received a callback (this morning) I was confronted by a women who obviously could not be bothered with the phonecall & when asking if it was me who she was speaking to she stated my name so blatantly incorrectly that it sounded nothing even remotely close to how my name is spelt or pronounced, as if that wasn't enough she then chose to put the phone down on me as soon as I repronounced my name back to her which is absolutely disgusting and down right unprofessional! After having the phone put down on me I called the company back to tell them what had happened just to get told by the receptionist that it was probably a connection issue but I highly doubt that, he then also told me that I would then be receiving another call back which obviously never happened hence why I am writing this review now. Conclusion- absolute and utter waste of time.
We contacted IrwinMitchell in order to purchase the freehold of our house. Although pricey we thought that being a well known firm they would get things done. Wrong - they were quick to reply to our emails but that was it. It took 5 months for the purchase to go through (& that was with a price already agreed with the current freeholders). They blamed the other solicitors for slowing things up, however when we complained & asked for a timeliness it was clearly IrwinMitchell who had. I mentioned we were buying the freehold in order to sell our property. Once completed I was advised it would be months before this was updated with the Land registry, however if I showed the TR1 form this wouldn't stop the sale. Incorrect. Now we are at the point where we may lose our buyers as 6 months later the land registry is still not updated & the Land Registry state they are awaiting forms from IrwinMitchell
I contacted Irwin Mitchell following my divorce because I was having difficulty with my ex wife arranging more access to our son. I dealt with Scott Halliday who from our very first telephone conversation was more than helpful and upfront. Scott was always available to speak to and would always respond promptly to emails. He kept me upto speed on my case and what the next step was. I would recommend Irwin Mitchell but personally recommend Scott to anyone! 5 star service and very, very knowledgeable.
