Run along this beach every time I visit the area. Quite clean and well maintained. Shops for icecream or coffee. I get nice responses from the locals when I say 'good morning', etc. On a walk or run. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Nice flat surface for wheelchair users and buggies, went to Lee on Solent on a Monday, no opportunity to buy fish and chips during lunch time, we did manage to buy an amazing multi coloured icecream which was much enjoyed. No social distancing what so ever by members of the public, public toilet was pretty gross, beach was clean hardly no rubbish.

Such a lovely stony beach, great for swimming, sheltered from the worst weather by the Isle of Wight. Good level wide esplanade stretches over a mile in both directions from the centre. Ample parking both free on road and pay off road. An amusement arcade and kids splash area. Don't forget to get an Ice cream from the Bluebird cafe. The hovercraft museum is sited a half mile West of the centre.

Parked at Salterns car park at Hill Head (free!) and walked the promenade to Lee-on-the-Solent centre. Queued for a well deserved soft ice cream at the Blue Bird cafe. Excellent value! Knee playing up so walked back. Only 4 miles but hot and sunny with a welcome breeze off the sea as ever. Loads of people on the beach and in the sea. Satisfying stroll and most are social distancing. Love this place!

A lovely relaxing & very peaceful beach that goes on forever which has magnificent views of the Solent, which is fantastic to just walk along the promenade or sit on the beach. There are several chargeable carparks close by where in certain parking spaces, you can just sit & gaze at the views, or maybe have some fish & chips or an ice cream from one of the nearby eateries, if you have no car there are buses going to & from the area, I love it there even in these very uncertain times as I find it very calming.

We enjoyed our walk along this beach and was one of the reasons to visit Gosport. Plenty of beach combing to be had looking for shells and even fossils in the flint, although fossil hunting is better elsewhere. The beach was surprisingly clean and I did not see any plastic or dog mess! Parking is available adjacent to the beach and the charge is 1 per hour I believe.

Great beach. It's stone and not sand so bare this in mind. Lots of amenities like skate park, splash area for kids (both free) lots of cafes and bars. You do pay for parking 60p for an hour 1 for 2 hours if I recall . There is a amusement arcade and pool hall as well. Non tidal beach
