A very pleasant atmosphere. You can "access" the remaining parts of the building any time. There's a park behind, as well as a pond. There are many panels around, explaining the history of the site from mid-eighteenth century to 2017 when it was restored (and partially demolished), with historic pictures. Just a pit not more of it could be salvaged.
There is almost anything left of the castle anymore. You can't access it, you can't even get close to it. There is no touristic explanation. Other annoying thing is that they have demolished part of it and created a super modern old-men-house in its place with flat roofs and dark bricks. Something completely different from this pretty historical castle. 2 stars and not one because you can still see something of the old castle and you can have a nice walk in the park next to it.

No castle ruins
Veel schiet er niet meer van over. Ik vermoed dat het vroeger wel de moeite waard geweest zou zijn om er naartoe te rijden. Jammer dat er een heel deel van werd afgebroken. Ik heb me laten misleiden door oudere foto's die er waren genomen.
Super mooi en rustig domein, altijd ne keer leuk om rond te wandelen, jammer dat de pracht van vroeger niet bewaard is gebleven
Kasteelruine in het park te Lede. Spijtig van de verloren glorie. Er rest maar weinig van wat ooit een prachtig kasteel was.
