Simple enjoyable simply enjoyable. A classic case of don't judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its crowd. I arrived at this restaurant, a highly rated one on tripadvisor and Google maps, with it absolutely empty and unrecognized (cos it's changed its name from le vieux bourg to le dos fin). It took courage to take the first step in and boy, was it rewarding. The friendly chef cum waiter who speaks English made me felt welcomed. I chose the escargots as the entrée and the he promised me the mussels (later explained are from Brittany) are best in the world. He was convincing, so I went with his recommendation. He also picked a chardonnay for my pairing. Both the appetizer and the main were simple, unassuming and yet delicious. Though I doubt the mussels (cooked in butter, onions, salt and maybe some spices) are the best in the world, they surely were prepared with enough attention given to the details. Only 3 mains and 3 entrées are in the menu, but it's good to be focused.
