If you don't know how to speak French, I advice you not to step a foot in the place. The restaurant is run by 1 person and is EXTREMELY slow, our whole dinner took 3 hours. The food is horrible, it's bad enough we don't even know what we were eating it's was salty and unsavoury. The waiter/owner is unhelpful and takes his sweet time. We had to wait half an hour just to pay for our meal. It was a horrible experience. The food was inedible. They even managed to screw up the mousse. Maybe it's a local French cuisine and we arent used to it, so foreigners beware.
EXTREMELY SLOW and unwelcoming, 2h20 for lunch to get simple food and asking constantly for water and bread , very disappointing !!

The cassoulet was burned and very dry. The other main dish was also dry and there was barely any duck in it. Only the foie gras and terrine was good but you can't really judge based because that was already prepared. We ordered rocamadour cheese as a dessert and that was bone dry and hard. The next table over also sent their meat dish back into the kitchen because it was overcooked and too dry and another table also didn't finish the cheese because of the quality. They didn't have an English menu and the waiter didn't speak any English. Would not recommend despite being in the Lonely Planet.
Amazing and wonderful!
A wonderful and authentic Dordogne restaurant serving local cuisine and mentioned favorably in the Michelin Guide. Lots of duck and foie gras on the menu, with truly remarkable flavors and presentation. An extensive and mostly French wine list. Try the lightly smoked duck breast, grilled over herbs at the table. For dessert, try the citrus fruit salad with thyme sorbet. Moderately priced and a tremendous value.
