As an Indian Malaysian visiting France for the 6th time with my French wife, I would like to inform all of you that the food served is NOT Indian food, neither from the North, nor from the South of India. Where in the world - not even talking where in India - do you see samosa being served with naan ? Carbo with carbo together? Really? Naan is actually a main dish, taken with curry; you get either naan or rice. But not as a starter. I ordered curry prawns. What I chewed was not prawns; it was iced, tasteless proteins. For the last past 16 days, I travelled around France eating seafood (Marseille, La Rochelle, Quiberon, Brest..) This was not seafood. The curry didn’t even taste anything like curry... again tasteless. The worst part of the dinner came with the dessert when the room manager/waiter/owner denied the dish he served to me. We ordered halwa from the menu and got served kesari (made of semolina); it tasted good but was not our order. When asking him about it, he got annoyed and angry, telling us French people “don’t like spicy food” which is not answering the question nor justifying the poor quality of the dishes we were served. For all of you out there, Indian food tastes much better than that. Proof is the movie “The 100 foot journey”, movie made in France and presenting culinary skills from both our cultures. This restaurant is not a good representation of our Indian delicacies. It is not even a nice example of good service and Indian warmth. They are only there, using Indian food international reputation, to make money. Please don’t go there. 0 star for this outlet.
