Superb meat, ecological farming, the owner keeps the animals in Burgundy. And the desserts! We tried riz au lait, tarte tartin and pain perdue...all delicious.

Had dinner at Le Gaulois a couple of days ago and was completely blown away by the service and the food. The restaurant is located in the charming village of Barbizon and has a cozy feel to it. We basically ordered half of the menu items and kept asking for more. We tried the below: Onion soup, bone marrow, escargots, foie gras, chevre chaud salad and entrecote for the main course. For dessert we had the moelleux au chocolat with berthillion ice cream. A definite must if in the area!
