We were visiting Normandy and stayed in Bayeux. Le Conquerant is a great option that offers an alternative in going out and spending 70 on dinner. We had fish and chips and they were very good. The draught beer selection is small but the options are good. Nice people working here and the indoor area was not filled with smoke or anything like that. Worth a visit if you’re in the area for sure. English speaking for the most part.

The town is a very pretty place to visit as well as the historic aspect both wwII and the tapestry. Parking is ample, I always like coming here
Super friendly to foreigners and english speaking. Open on Sunday which is a rarity in France. American police patches on the wall if that tells you anything. Definitely recommend for a night cap.
No frills pub. Staff was very friendly. The menu was simple but delicious. An English menu is available. Highly recommend the desserts!
Simple menu, fish and chips were delicious, great tartar sauce! Open when a lot of other restaurants are closed, so you can grab an early dinner or drinks after an all day tour (like we did). We were so tired, so it was the perfect end to our day.
Great atmosphere, food and service.
My husband and I arrived to Bayeux at 10:30pm after a flight delay and long drive from Paris. We were starving, but unfortunately every restaurant in Bayeux was already closed. We finally stumbled across Le Conquerant, and the bartender very kindly prepared hot grilled sandwiches for us, even though his kitchen had already been closed for hours. I’m very grateful for the good people at Le Conquerant! This is a fun and lively bar, with comfy indoor and outdoor seating, tons of boardgames, and good food and drinks.
Friendly staff reasonably priced beer and food. Definitely worth a visit.
