My father bought a bottle of Calvados aged for twenty years, called Réserve des Seigneurs (the Lords’ reserve!), and... my goodness! It is, so to say, complex, velvety, sweet and refreshing at the same time. Personally, if I did not know it, I would never be able to tell it comes from apples. It is honestly one of the best drinks I have ever had.

Great tour in a beautiful setting. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable (I think his name is Antoine?- he did an amazing job) I would highly recommend a visit this Calvados Distillery to all my friends visiting the region
Even if it looks closed keep going! The reception is a little further down inside the garden, they will take you on a tour and show you how it’s done, the guide speaks English and is very entertaining, best part: the light show!!
Went to Chateau du Breuil on a rainy day on our way to Honfleur. We hadn't researched much, so it was one of those \what can we find to do on my iPhone on my way through the area\ and we stumbled upon this. And it was amazing! The tour was 30-45 minutes and took us past/through all the major aspects of Calvados production, teaching us as we went. They were kind of enough to do the tour in both French and English, even though my husband and I were the only English speaking couple on tour, which was really nice of them. After the tour we returned to the main room with a chance to taste a handful. My husband tasted the liquor, and then 8, 12, 15, 20 year old Calvados. When the crowd thinned out, and he was trying to decide which to take home (because he grew to LOVE Calvados), the gave him a small taste of the 40 year, and he fell in love - which is why we have it on our counter for special occasions. He has no regrets about his purchase, and we would both highly recommend a visit and the tour.
