Le Bilboquet

I tried this spot once with a friend and I am hooked since then. I loved the good atmosphere and flavorful food and beverages. Kudos.

I was adamant about giving this place 4 stars. Allow me to explain. The location is prime in Uptown Dallas tucked away on a corner off Travis St. The environment was clean, French cafe/ bistro style decor. The tables were pretty close together considering the pandemic. Due to its popularity, the place gets pretty packed and usually books up fairly quickly. Reservations are required. I couldn't decide between the lobster roll and brioche French toast so I ordered both. I was quite disappointed with the lobster roll to be honest. It was just bland, the brioche bun was hard and the lobster was, meh. The portion size was fairly bite sized for a 22 sandwich. The Brioche French toast was well worth the disappointment of the other dish. The brioche was made with \creme brulee\ style egg batter, it was very fresh tasting and extremely fluffy and soft. I feared it being too sweet, so I ordered all the accoutrements on the side, which turned out to be a wise decision. Service was great, the wait staff were very kind and attentive. They wore face masks as well as gloves. The reason for 4 stars and not 3 were environment, valet service/ cost, wait staff. If I judged on food alone, definitely 3 stars.

I celebrated my birthday earlier this evening in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a outstanding evening and the place was absolutely the reason for that outstanding meeting. The waiters contributed in a sweet style, the cooking was tasty and my friends were so pleased. We shall surely return for more celebrations. thanks very much.

I like this restaurant! They have good food, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is well trained, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The food is always good, the attitude towards the visitors is agreeable. I often eat in this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

Had the Cajun chicken lunch special, delicious chicken. Wife had the southwest eggs with homemade chorizo, also tasty. Excellent service from the staff!
